   What is PLA material?

   Polylactic acid (PLA) is a new type of biodegradable material made from starch derived from renewable plant resources such as corn. Starch raw materials through saccharification to obtain glucose, and then from glucose and a certain strain fermentation to produce high purity lactic acid, and then through chemical synthesis method to synthesize a certain molecular weight of polylactic acid. It has good biodegradability, can be completely degraded by microorganisms in nature after use, and eventually generate carbon dioxide and water, which does not pollute the environment, which is very beneficial to the protection of the environment, and is recognized as an environmentally friendly material. The treatment method of ordinary plastics is still incineration and cremation, resulting in a large number of greenhouse gases into the air, while polylactic acid plastics are buried in the soil to degrade, the resulting carbon dioxide directly into the soil organic matter or absorbed by plants, will not be discharged into the air, will not cause the greenhouse effect.

   Application of PLA material in blister industry

   Due to the absolutely harmless characteristics of polylactic acid to the human body, and can fully biodegrade in line with the world, especially the European Union, the United States and Japan for the high requirements for environmental protection, therefore, PLA material in the blister industry is mainly widely used in the production of disposable lunch boxes, food packaging materials and other disposable supplies. Because the current PLA material cost is relatively high, its application in industrial packaging materials is still relatively small.
