What molds are commonly used for plastic products

Plaster mold: use gypsum to carve and shape in a semi-wet state, and then dry it to form a mold. The cost of plaster mold is low and it is easy to modify, but the precision of plaster mold is not high enough, the surface is not smooth, fragile and not durable, so blister trays are commonly used It comes to proofing.

Copper mold: According to the product design requirements, after making a plaster mold, use the plaster mold to produce a blister tray, put the real blister tray in the electrolytic tank, and when the surface is 5-8MM thick, inject the mold into the plaster and inject the vacuum air holes , and the surface of the mold is polished smooth, and it can be used; it takes about 3-5 days; it belongs to the metal mold type, so it is more durable, and the appearance and transparency of the plastic tray produced by this type of mold are better; the mold production price is lower , the use is relatively wide, it is the usual mold; it is mainly suitable for cosmetics, food, toys, electronics and hardware industries.

Aluminum mold: According to the provided drawings or samples, the program is programmed by CAM and other programming software, processed by CNC machine tools, and then other positions such as air holes and undercuts are manually completed, and the mold is polished smooth. If there are special requirements, Teflon or sandblasting is also required. Made of aluminum materials such as ZL401, 6061 and 7075, this mold has high precision and the product outline and angle are very beautiful, the surface is smooth, and the molding effect is good. It is a mold for producing large-scale blister trays. Compared with plaster molds, Copper mold, more durable, time-saving and power-saving, high production efficiency and extremely low scrap rate, etc. The price also belongs to the four types of molds; it is mainly suitable for blister trays with very high requirements on appearance and size, such as electronics, gifts, toys, medicine, stationery, etc.
